From one lake dream to a timeless retreat

LakeHeaven began with a simple wish: to create a place on Lake Como where stays feel personal, unhurried, and quietly special. Rooted in Menaggio’s historic heart, LakeHeaven was born from a love of old streets, soft light, and the way life by the water naturally slows down. What started as a family project to restore two character-filled apartments became an invitation for guests to experience Lake Como in a more intimate, meaningful way.

Our History

The story of Castellino Castello begins in the upper streets of Menaggio, along a lane that has watched centuries of lake life unfold. Via Castellino da Castello sits within the historic part of the village, where cobblestone paths, stone houses, and quiet courtyards still reflect Menaggio’s medieval past. For years, the buildings here were simply part of the everyday rhythm of local life – lived in, loved, and gently weathered by time.

Drawn to this atmosphere, our family chose two apartments along this street and began restoring them with care: keeping the character of the old walls while making the spaces warm, comfortable, and welcoming for modern travellers. Room by room, Castellino Castello was shaped into a calm refuge above the lake – a place where guests can wake up inside the story of Menaggio itself. LakeHeaven is our name for this feeling: a quiet haven on Lake Como, made to be remembered.
